Dvādaśasāhasrikā mahāpratyaṅgirā

A Buddhist text describes several mantras related to Mahāpratyaṅgirā, a deity in the Tantric Buddhist pantheon. At the beginning of the manuscript, the iconography of the deity is described: Mahāpratyaṅgirā is blue in colour. In the Sādhanamālā, the deity is imagined with one face, six arms and blue in colour. (Bhattacharyya, 1924, p. 88). This manuscript also contains the Uṣṇīṣa-sitātopatrā-nāmāparājitā-mahāpratyaṅgīrā-pratyadevatā-sarvamāravidhvaṃsitā (f.13b); Vajradharavajrapāṇipratyaṅgirā-bodhicittaparigrahokathā (f.25b); Uṣṇīṣa-sitātapatrā-nāma-aparājitā mahāpratyaṅgirā-mahāvidyā (f.152b). This work is similar to Sl. Nos. 175, 176, 177 and 178. Several folia of the manuscript depict small illustrations. Folia 110-119 are missing from this manuscript. The final two folia are illegible, with portions of the writing erased in several places. In the colophon, the manuscript gives the title as: Ity āryya-dvādaśasāhasrīkāyāṃ mahāpratyaṅgirāyāṃ sarvatathāgatoṣṇīṣasītātapatrānāma mahāvidyārājñī avalokita-mūrddhinī-tṛtīya-kalpa samāpta. This work is similar to that found in SOAS MS.211250. R. C. Dogra documented the colophon of SOAS MS.211250 in A Handlist of the Manuscripts in South Asian Languages in the Library.

A compilation of Buddhist birth stories of relatively late origin, much of which—particularly the prose sections—was borrowed from the Avadānaśataka (Turner & Turner, Collected Papers 1912–1973, 1975, p. 11). This manuscript contains 24 chapters. The manuscript includes two folia with pagination number 79; folio 90 is missing, and the end part of chapter 16 is also missing. After folio 91, one folio without a page number appears twice in the digitized version; this folio contains chapter 18. Folios 92–98 are missing, and parts of chapter 19 are also absent. No. 180; however, the chapter titles and the arrangement of chapters are different.

Dhanañjayanighaṇṭu

A Kośa text dealing with a vocabulary of synonyms was composed by the Jain author Dhanañjaya, son of Vāsudeva and Śrīdevī, and a pupil of Daśaratha. This manuscript contains the first chapter with 203 verses, but there are other manuscripts that contain two chapters. The second chapter describes homonyms. Sometimes, the first chapter is titled Nāmamālā and the second chapter Nighaṇṭu. However, one of the concluding verses of this manuscript mentions the name Nāmamālā, while the colophon refers to the text as Dhanañjayanighaṇṭu. At the end of the text, Dhanañjaya references Akalaṅka's Pramāṇaśāstra, Pūjyapāda's Śāsanaśāstra, and his own Dvisandhānakāvya, which is famously known as Rāghavapāṇḍavīya (NCC, Vol. 10, p. 45). Most of the folia are illegible, especially the colophon section of the manuscript, which makes the name of the scribe unreadable. 'Fol. 28 is missing. Many places are stained.' (Matsunami, 1965, p. 75).

Dharmaruci-Avadāna

This text is the 18th chapter of the Divyāvadāna, titled Dharmaruci-Avadāna. The text narrates the story of Bhikṣu Dharmaruci and his previous lives. This is one of the well-known Avadāna stories, also known as the Timiṅgila-avadāna, and the story has been depicted in sculptures at various ancient Buddhist sites.

A Sanskrit grammar text deals with the dhātupāṭha (root verbs) section. Although the title of the text is missing and it is incomplete, it appears to be the Kāśakṛtsnaśabdakalpa—a detailed dhātupāṭha following the Kātantra school and attributed to Kāśakṛtsna. However, the manuscript documents only the sūtras. The manuscript covers the following chapters: bhvādigaṇa-parasmaipada (f.8a);lugvikaraṇe-adādi (f.17a); yan-vikaraṇe divādigaṇa (f.19b); nu-vikaraṇa svādigaṇa (f.20a); ag-vikaraṇa studādigaṇa (f.22a).

A collection of seven Dhāraṇī texts contains spells for praising various Buddhist deities. It includes: Vasudhārāyā-nāmāṣṭottara-śatakaṃ buddhabhāṣita (f.3b); Vajravidāraṇonāma-hṛdayopahṛdayamūlamantra (f.6a); Āryyagaṇapatināma-dhāraṇī (f.8a); Uṣṇīṣa-vijayānāma-dhāraṇī (f.11b); Parṇṇasarvvarī-mahāmārī-praśamaṇīnāma-dhāraṇī (f.13a); Āryyamārīcināma-dhāraṇī (f.15a); and Grahamātṛkādhāraṇī (f.24b). This text is similar to Sl. No. 192.

It includes: Vasudhārā-nāmāṣṭottara-śataṃ buddhabhāṣita (f.1b-4a); Vajravidāraṇonāma-dhāraṇī-hṛdayopahṛdaya-mūlasūtra (f.4b-7a&7b); Āryyamahāgaṇapati-hṛdaya (f.7b-10a); Uṣṇīṣa-vijayānāma-dhāraṇī (f.10b-14a); Āryyamahāparṇṇaśavarī-mahāmārī-praśamaṇīnāma-dhāraṇī (f.14b-16a&16b); Āryyamārīcīnāma-dhāraṇī (f.16b-18b); Grahamātṛkānāma-dhāraṇī (f.18b-32b). The manuscript includes illustrations of the seven deities to whom each text is dedicated. Folio 1b features Vasudhārā; 4b depicts Vajravidāraṇī; 7b shows Gaṇapati; 10b depicts Uṣṇīṣavijayā; 14b features Parṇṇaśavarī; 16b depicted Mārīcī; and 18b features Grahamātṛkā. This text is similar to Sl. no. 192.
