Āsanavidhi

This manuscript also details the rituals related to āsanavidhi. It includes the Rātrisūkta (f. 3b), Navārṇava-mantra (f. 4a), Mātṛkānyāsa-viniyoga (f. 4b), and Saptaśatīnyāsa (f. 8b), comprising a total of eleven nyāsas. Aśaucanirṇaya is a text by Tryaṃbaka Paṇḍita which deals with ritualistic purification from impurites particularly believed to be caused from a women giving birth, from a dead corpse or touching a person belonging to the Śūdra varna (worker clans with lower social standing). The rituals can range from bathing, prayers or observances to regain purity depending on the impurities or social standing of the person in the society. This Ms. is written in 9 lines per folio. Cover and back page are blank. Title present in marginal abbrevation on top of (f. 1b). Title present in colophon (f. 7a). There are double red vertical margins on each side of the folio. Āsavādhikāra is a text which discribes the preperation and properties of Āsava and Āriṣṭa which are special self fermented alcoholic drinks using herbs, jaggery and other ingredients. The concoctions are known to have long shelf life and quick action. It is believed to cure variety of ailmints like digestive issues. The text is probably inspired from reputed Ayurvedic works of Caraka (Caraka Saṃhitā), Suśruta (Suśruta Saṃhitā), Vāgbhaṭa (Aṣṭaṅga hṛdaya). This Ms. is written in 17–19 lines per folio. Aśokatrirātravrata

Aśokatrirātravrata is a text which describes festivals, rituals, observances and pilgrimage sites. It is a part of the uttaraparva of the Bhaviṣyapurāṇa. This text contains an observance dedicated to the Aśoka tree in the month of Chaitra (March-April) when the tree is fully bloomed. The observance is performed to invoke blessings and overcome sorrow. The tree is mentioned in the epic Rāmāyana where Rāvaṇa had held Sīta in captive in a garden of Aśoka trees. This Ms. is written in 9–10 lines per folio. Title present in colophon (f. 6b). This text contains 2 parts Aṣṭādaśaślokīgītāsāra containing 18 Ślokas (metered verses) starting from (f. 1a). These 18 verses have been carefully selected from the 18 Adhyāyas (chapters) of the Bhagavatagītā 3rd part out of the 4, from the 6th Parva (chapter) of the epic Mahābhārata, that is Bhīṣmaparva in order to give the reader a summary of this popular text for knowledge as well as devotion. Similarly Saptaślokīgītā contains 7 Ślokas it starts from (f. 3b). The text also does the same. These texts are a discourse between supreme Hindu deity Viṣṇu (in the form of Kṛṣṇa) and Arjuna. This Ms. contains 9 lines per folio. Title of first work present in colophon (f. 3b). Title for second work Saptaślokīgītā present in colophon (f. 4b).
