Dr. Sudha Gopalakrishnan
Project Director, SAMHiTA
Dr. Sudha Gopalakrishnan is Executive Director of the International Research Division, India International Centre Delhi. She has a PhD in comparative literature and drama, and has been active in research, policy and management on Indian arts, literature and culture. She was Founder Director, National Mission for Manuscripts, Executive Director of Sahapedia, an open, online encyclopedia of Indian cultures and histories, and has worked with the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts and Sahitya Akademi (the National Academy of Letters). Her eight books include critical studies of literature and the performing arts of Kerala, and translations from Malayalam and Sanskrit.
Niharika Gupta
Project Manager
Niharika studied literature and anthropology at Delhi and Oxford, and has worked in multimedia curation, academic editing, and developing educational resources. She has worked with Tibet House and was Director of Content and Research at Sahapedia.
Arpan Guha
Research Associate
Arpan completed his doctoral thesis on Sanskrit’s third gender and on different sexualities from Jadavpur University (West Bengal), and has worked in manuscriptology, paleography and epigraphy. He is co-author, Prakrita Vaibhava (in Bangla), a translation and study of Prakrit inscriptions.
Gauri Vyaghrambare
Research Assistant
Gauri has a Masters in Sanskrit from Mumbai University, and has worked on the New Catalogus Catalogorum and manuscript transcription. She has studied Brahmi, Sharda, Modi and Newari scripts and proofreads Sanskrit books for IIT- Bombay.
Saroj Kumar Patel
Full Stack Developer
Saroj, a skilled Full Stack Developer specializing in Laravel and Bootstrap, is actively involved in the SAMHiTA project. Focused on creating an IIIF manuscript viewer and related tools, Saroj combines technical expertise with a passion for cultural preservation. He has experience of a decade creating websites and application for different clients.
