Namoyānasularavanakṣa

The manuscript has multiple miniature paintings. It started with the exaltation of Gaṇeśa. Each of the folios here consist of miniature painting of different creature like animals or birds as in theriomorphic form. Some of them were females and are shown multi handed along with animals as their vehicle and they are stationed next to deities. The painting uses vibrant colors mostly common to Nepalese paintings. There are some folios remained empty but has images suggests that they were supposed to be written and fulfilled.




Collection of Dhāraṇi

The manuscript collected different Dhāraṇis in practices and red ink is also used in multiple sections. The dharani included of Vajrasattva, Sitavati, Kankirna, Mahisasamvara, Harati devi and others. It also claims that by worshipping them could eradicate the Pancamahapapa. The hymns are treated as like the pure implicit formula. Few of the terms as like Svah and Phat are used as of the usual formula.




Ārya Dvajāṇgrahekeyuroṇāma Dhāraṇī

The folio used are of either white or yellow. It started in usual buddhist sutra formula. It started with the veneration to Buddha and Bodhisattvas. The basic concept of "Evam Maya Srutam" is used and Tri-ratna veneration is seen in this manuscript. Implicit words most often seen in the tantrik texts are also seen in it. The manuscript ended with the very common buddhist stanza of "he dharma hetu..".




Saptavāra Dhāraṇī

Given the name of different Dhāraṇi recitited in a week. Vasudhara recitation in Sunday, Vajrabidaranhridayam in Monday, Ganapati in Tuesday, Usnisavijaya in Wednesday, Prajnaparamita in Thursday, Malicina in Friday and Grihamatrika for the Saturday. This manuscript seems to be collection by an individual which is written by different scribe and also compiled as different text. Hence, the specific dharanis are there for recitation in different days.




Ārya Aparimitāyunāma Dhāraṇī

The manuscript deals about the dharani of the Aparimita for the long life of an individual. The particular dharani is still in practice in Nepal mandala. The details of the content include different god and goddesses like the Arya Tara, Vajradhara, Buddha, Bodhisattvas etc and also Yaksa, Yaksanis , Raksasa, Kinnara, Gandharva, Manusya and Amanusyas are also in mention. Many words that does not have any sanskrit meanins which were commonly used in the mantras as a formula, have used in it. The scribe has a beautiful handwriting.




Gṛhamātṛka Dhāraṇī

The manuscript seems not complete but the description mentions about the protection from different terrestrial elements like the poisonous animals to extra-terrestrial element. Auspicious is the Hansaraja bird and other animals like elephant, horse, Peacock, Lion, Tiger, Deer etc are mentioned creatures of decoration. The manuscript is addressing different bodhisattvagana. At the ending section, this dharani will taking care and protect the individual from any sort of difficulties.




Pañcarakṣā Sutra

It has a wooden cover for the manuscript. Couple of folios are damaged badly. Newly written folios in normal paper replacing the original one. last folio is damaged due to which proper detail was mutilated. The Pañcarakṣāsūtra is five female protectors (Rakṣā) of Vajrayāna Buddhism. It is a compendium of five distinct sutras, each dedicated to a specific female deity. Each deity personifies a powerful spell (dhāraṇī) capable of warding off specific worldly evils, diseases, natural disasters, and spiritual dangers. The five godeess are 1) Āryamahāpratisarā 2) Āryamahāsāhasrapramardanī 3) Āryamahāmāyūrīvidyārājñī 4) Āryamahāmantrānusāriṇī and 5) Āryamahārakṣāmahāśītavatīnāmavidyārājñī.




Śri Lalitvistaranāma Mahāyāna Sutra

The manuscript is started to write on NS 802 (1681) and completed in one year. It has the wooden cover and seems offered sacred thread to the scripture. The Lalitavistara Sūtra is a major Mahāyāna Buddhist biography of the Buddha. The extant Sanskrit text contains 27 Parivartas, narrating the Bodhisattva’s descent from Tuṣita, miraculous birth, renunciation, enlightenment, defeat of Māra, and first sermon at Sarnath, emphasizing the Buddha’s divine qualities and compassionate missionThis tradition of worshiping Scripture as deities is common practice among Newar Buddhist of Nepal. The scibe has a beautiful handwriting. King Sri 3 Nivas Malla deva Thakur is mentioned in its Colophone along with his Queen and Prince.




Kāraṇḍavyūha Sutra

The manuscript has wooden plain cover and the folios filled with beautiful and calculated letters. The Kāraṇḍavyūha Sūtra is an influential Mahāyāna Buddhist scripture centered on Avalokiteśvara as the cosmic embodiment of compassion. The extant Sanskrit text is divided into two parts comprising 24 chapters. It describes Avalokiteśvara’s boundless virtues, his salvific activities across different realms, the emanation of various deities from his body, and the universal scope of his compassion. This particular text is considered the cult of Avalokiteśvara and profoundly influenced Mahāyāna and Vajrayāna traditions in Nepal and other Mahayana Countries. This manuscript is written during the reign of King Ranabahadur Shah.




Śri Vasudhāradevi Vrata

The manuscript folio has letters differentiated by red and black ink to indicate Sanskrit and Newāri language. The initial folios are damaged. Śrī Vasudhārādevī Vrata is a Newar Buddhist ritual text dedicated to Goddess Vasudhārā, the bodhisattva of wealth, fertility, abundance, and prosperity. It prescribes the observance of the vrata (sacred vow), including ritual worship, offerings, mantra recitation, and the narration of the goddess's merits. The text emphasizes that devotion to Vasudhārā brings prosperity, agricultural abundance, good fortune, longevity, and spiritual merit while encouraging generosity (dāna) and ethical conduct.




Vasundhāradevi Yā Bākhaṅ

The scribe has beautifully written the manuscript. It seems some folios including the last one where usually have colophone is missing due to which detailing about the manuscript cann't be deciphered. Newar Buddhist devotional narrative dedicated to Goddess Vasundhārā, the deity of prosperity, abundance, and merit. The narrative is closely associated with the worship of Vasundhārā during household rituals and vrata observances, reinforcing Buddhist ethical ideals through exemplary stories and religious instruction. This is the well observed methodology in culture making within Newar community in Nepal.

The manuscript is damaged by torn.
