Yajñopavītavidhi
EAP1023/16/22 Language : Sanskrit Scripts : Devanagari
An incomplete manuscript whose intermediate colophon gives the source as the Gāyatrīrahasya. The adhyāya-s are ‘Yajñopavītavidhi’, ‘Prāṇāyāmābhyāsānanda’, ‘Saṅkalpasandhyārthadhyānānanda’, and ‘Mārjanācamanādyamarṣaṇ ārghadānamantrārthāvadhāraṇānandodaya’. Sources for ‘Yajñopavītavidhi’ include Āśvalayana and Baudhayana Srauta Sutras; the Gāyatrī mantra was imparted to initiates after the yajñopavīta (sacred thread) ceremony.

An incomplete manuscript of a dharmaśāstra text by Kamalākara Bhaṭṭa (grandson of Nārāyaṇa Bhaṭṭa and cousin of Nīlakaṇṭha Bhaṭṭa, active 1610–1640) that deals with public works, temple consecration, and royal coronation, citing the work of Hemādri, and purāṇic and smṛti literature. This manuscript includes chapters on the repair of images (jīrṇoddhāravidhi) and consecration of temples (prāsādakalaśaliṅgārcādi).

An incomplete manuscript of a dharmaśāstra work by Nārāyaṇa Bhaṭṭa, son of Rāmeśvara Bhaṭṭa, on the three tirtha-s (sacred sites): Prayāg, Kāṣi, and Gayā. This manuscript contains the introduction and prakaraṇa-s on Prayāg and Kāśī: Sāmānyapraghaṭṭakaprakīrṇakatīrthadharmaprakaraṇa, Prayāgaprakaraṇa and Kaśīprakaraṇa. Nārāyaṇa Bhaṭṭa was grandfather of Kamalākara Bhaṭṭa, whose Nirṇayasindhu cites this work.

The first of five stavaka-s of a ritual manual authored by Ananta Bhaṭṭa, son of Nāgadeva Bhaṭṭa, in Varanasi in 1625 CE (NCC Vol. 29), this discusses svastivācana, paribhāṣāprakaraṇa, homadravyapramāṇa, grahaśāntividhāna, vastraphala, tithiphala, māsaphala, vāraphala, velāphala, nakṣatraphala, lagnaphala, rāśiphala, and saṃskāras. Baṭuka Bhairava Pañcānga

This is a tantra text in Sanskrit and Devanagari derived from the Rudrayāmalatantra and contains the mantras, Viśvasāroddhāra-Baṭukabhairavakavaca (41v), Baṭukabhairavasahasranāma from the Umā-Maheśvara saṃvāda (54v), Āpaduddhāra-Baṭukabhairavastotra from the Umā-Maheśvara saṃvāda (61r), Sāroddhāre-Baṭukahṛdaya (71v), Viśvasāre-Baṭukapañjara (73v). There are also parts of the Śivārthavaśīrṣopaniṣad (73v) and the Baṭukasāroddhāra from the Kālikātantra or Kālitantra (74r).
Gīrvāṇa Ratnāvalī

The Ratnāvalī is a dharmaśāstra text on Hindu religious practices and rituals, which is known by the title of its author, King ‘Gīrvāṇa Yuddha’ Vikram Śāha of Nepal (1797–1816), who composed it in Kāntinagara in the Śaka year 1734 (1812 CE). Popularly called ‘Satkarma Ratnāvalī’, it is very significant for Hindus of Nepal.

Prabodha Chandrodaya or 'Rise of the Moon of Knowledge,' is a Sanskrit Drama written by Krishna Mishra. It is a play in six acts dating from about the end of the eleventh century. It depicts the battle between Mahamoha ('great delusion') and Viveka ('discrimination) in the mind of man (Purusha) through the conflict between Vedic and non-Vedic traditions, and between figures like ahamkara (ego), krodha (anger) and santi (peace).
Kāvyaprakāśa

A commentary on Mammaṭa’s Kāvyaprakāśa (12th century CE), probably the one written by Rājānaka Ānanda of Kashmir in 1665 CE, also known as Nidarśana Śitikaṇṭhavibodhana, which offers a mystical reading relating to Śiva. This manuscript contains seven out of ten ullāsa-s (chapters).
Adbhutasāgara

A dharmaśāstra-jyotiṣa text by King Ballālasena, who began it in 1168-69, and whose son Lakṣmaṇasena completed it. It deals with omens and rituals for mitigating their impact, covering topics from utpātotpattikāraṇa upto gajadantanirūpaṇa (NCC vol. 1).
Pārvana Śrāddha Vidhi
EAP1023/16/14 Language : Sanskrit Scripts : Devanagari
A ritual manual on Parvaṇa Śrāddha, performed by Hindus for deceased ancesters on Ptṛpakṣa and Bhadrapāda Pūrṇimā. Viśvadeva are installed during Parvaṇa Śrāddha. The manuscript was copied by Jagannātha in Vijayapūra on Śaka 1700, Saṃvat 1835 (1778 CE).
