Gaṇacakra

This is an esoteric Sanskrit ritual manual outlining the operational protocols for conducting a Gaṇacakra. Contains specialized mantra strings for the consecration and transmutational consumption of sacramental offerings, strictly restricted to initiated practitioners bound by Samaya vows. The text is written in handbook letters are good readable but in the middle 2 pages has written in pencil it seems other scribe has did that, folio no. has not mentioned in the text.




Upoṣadha Vrata and Aṣṭamī Vrata

This is a ritual text Upoṣadha Vrata and Aṣṭamī Vrata. In Buddhist devotional life a single, high-stakes monthly fast known as the Amoghapāśa Lokeśvara Aṣṭamī Vrata. This ritual is performed on the eighth day of the lunar fortnight, dedicated entirely to Amoghapāśa Lokeśvara (the eight-armed compassionate manifestation of Avalokiteśvara) to purify negative karma, heal illnesses, and accumulate vast spiritual merit. Upoṣadha Vrata is lay practitioners (Upāsakas and Upāsikās) visit the monastery, take refuge, and temporarily adopt the Aṣṭa-śīla for 24 hours. These include absolute fasting, celibacy, refraining from high or luxurious beds, and abstaining from perfumes or entertainment.f. no.1 has an illustration of Avalokitesvara with 8 hand. The manuscript is torn some folios in the upper and lower part.




Hayagrīva Dhāraņī

Title of the manuscript Hayagrīva Dhāraņi found in folio number 21b of Image 8. Only1a,9b,12b,21b exists as numbering folios.Physical condition of the manuscript is good.This is a Buddhist text with commentary.After every line written tadyathā. Image 1 and 7 is text with illustration.Middle of the folio on Image 1 there is a illustration of a male deity in seated condition, two legs on padmāsana mode; his right hand holding something on his chest, may be i.e. vajra and his left hand also holding something; and the left hand kept on his right foot. Image 7 looks like one of the Mahākāla of black complexion. Who has six hands with weapon in each hand.; two legs three faces; two of them are white and brown coloured and fierce appearance. Wearing on waist a tiger skin. In this folio one Dhāraņi is completing i.e. mahiṣa sambara tantra hŕdaya nāma Dhāraņi samāpta.




Daśakriyāvidhi

Image 1 is blank. Title Daśakriyāvidhi found at the beginning of the in 2nd image. No folio number found. This Buddhist manuscript is the text of ten specific tantric purification and consecration rites. 3rd image is on samśodhana vidhi which is tantric purification. 4th image is yonisamśodhana vidhi. 6th image is sutrapātana vidhi. 7th image is rajasvalāvrata vidhi. 11th image is bījākṣara. 13th image is drṣțidāna vidhi, after that jātakarma. 14th image nāmakaraņa vidhi. 15th image is annaprāśana. 16th image is upanayana vidhi. 18th cūḍākarma vidhi. 19th image is vratamokṣaņa samāvartana vidhi. 23rd image is pāņigrahaņa vidhi. 25th image is on maņḍalapraveśa vidhi. 27th and 28th image is bajrābhiṣeka, gūhyābhiṣeka , prajñājñānābhiṣeka. Image 43 is completing the navagrahapūjā vidhi. 50th image is completing the bhimarathakriyā vidhi. 52nd image is sīmākoņakriyādhiṣṭhāna vidhi. 53rd image is rajasvalāvrata vidhi. 55th image is ajaśirahoma vidhi. 56th image is dhūmāṅgāri pūjā vidhi. In this image existing Date of the manuscript; (Nepal) samvat 941 which will be of 1820 C.E.




Composite (Devīsahasranāma, samasta-vyāsti-vyāpti-nāma-stotra)

There is no pagination found. Title of the manuscript (Devi)Sahasranāma found in image 49. Here scribe is writing colophon where one date in riddle can be found. Nārāyaņa likhed vipra Sahasranāma pustaka. gate naipālikevarṣeguņeṣvaśvemunauśive… i.e. Nepal samvat 677+879 year= 1556 C.E. Image 1 is fragment folio; there available portion caturvimśati sahasra caņḍabhairava tantra only this much is found. Image 8 There is a intermediate colophon of stotra of merutantra naming kubjikākavaca stotramālā mantra samāpta. Image 16 Here exists kubjikāmantranāma sahasra samāpta, which is of meruāgama kailāśa khaņḍa. Image 35 Here also a intermediate colophon: siddhilakṣmī aṣțasahasra nāma stotra samāpta. Image 40 is mostly Damaged it’s few portion can be read. Image 48 This colophon is mahātripurasundarī mantra sahasra nāma stotra sampūrņa. Image 49 again starting another text on stotra. Upto image 52 this text continued and




Buddhi Cāņakya

Title Buddhi Cāņakya found at the beginning of the manuscript folio 1b; otherwise the short form bu.cā. found at left margin of every verso portion of the folio. Upper lines and bottom lines of each folio are written in Newari language ; middle lines are in Sanskrit language. Cāņakya was philosopher and advisor of Maurya king. The subject matter of this manuscript is practical life management sharp and bold decision making and ethical conduct. Guidelines on relationship, avoid toxic people. Understand the genuine intent of those around. The power of diplomacy. All these advice are in śloka form, with number.




Ayurveda and Iconography

Image 1,3,7 is some exposition on Ayurvedic topic, the word vyākhyāsyāma found. All are fragment palm leaf. Image 1 Sometime quotes from Hārīta, the traditional Ayurvedic teacher. Here also quoted from another Ayurvedic teacher Caraka. One of the traditional Ayurvedic therapeutic process is mentioned here i.e. Svedana that uses steam or heat to induce sweating. The svedana used to eliminate deep seated toxins. Image 3 According to Ayurvedic teacher Caraka is, if anybody suffering from fever should be apply candana or sandal oil as forehead ointment. Image 7 is about cough or śleṣmā and jvara or fever, Caraka is being quoted here. All available folia are partially broken condition. Image 2 there is no text in this folio. Only colourful paintings on seven Buddhist Bhiṣak and deities. Image 4 is also colourful paintings on five male deities only and no text. One of the deity of them is of black complexion, two handed and in sitting mode. Next four deities are of white complexion. Somebody of them have eight arms, and Somebody four handed. All of them are in various symbolic hand gesture, like deepen meditation within the body, which acts as energetic seals of Buddhism to convey the spiritual teachings. Image 5 is blurred. Image 6 colourful paintings of five female Buddhist deities. Two of them are fair complexion, eight handed and in sitting mode with symbolic hand gestures. In this image all of the female deities are three faced.

One of them is green complexion single face female deity with crown ornament on head, two hands and two legs, sitting in a meditation gesture. Next one is yellowish single face male deity with a crown on head, two hands are in meditation gesture, right hand holding weapon. 3rd one is a male deity of white complexion, four arms, a lotus on his left hand, crown on head, two legs folded in padmāsana mode, two folded hands holding to the chest. 4th one is black complexion fierce appearance, two hands with vajra and ghaņțā, male deity, crown on head, wearing a tiger skin on his waist. 5th one is white complexion female deity, crown on head, two folded hands holding to the chest, two legs folded in padmāsana position. Peaceful appearance. Image 4 : This palm leaf is colourful illustration on five Buddhist male deities From the left side of the leaf 1st icon portrayed in yellow colour, sitting in padmāsana position, two arms, crown ornament on head and in meditation posture. 2nd icon is in blue coloured, other than that all are same as 1st icon; 3rd icon is of fair complexion and the other things same as previous two icon, only two hands of this icon is folded together on chest. 4th icon is copper coloured and sitting mode which is same as before and the both hands folded on his lap. The 5th icon is green coloured, sitting posture is same as before and hands are in varadā mudrā.

Cāṇakya Sāra Saṃgraha

This is a text on polity. It belongs to Indian classical literature. It is a collection of verses attributed to Chanakya. The text provides guidance on ethical conduct, leadership, governance, diplomacy, and the management of daily life. The work also reflects the political and social philosophy of ancient India, offering advice for rulers, administrators, and ordinary individuals alike. The text is incomplete. Starting part of the text is missing. The manuscript is covered in wood plate.




Tārā Pūjā

Aṣtottara śata nāma stotra(Tārāśata)

This is an incomplete text of the Aṣtottara śata nāma stotra (Tārāśata). This stotra is dedicated to the Buddhist deity Tārā, who is widely worshipped in the Vajrayāna branch of Buddhism. She is the goddess of kindness and compassion for all beings. She represents virtuous and wise actions, grants long life, protects people during travel, and guides her followers on their spiritual path toward enlightenment. The manuscript contains only first 3 and starting of the 4th verse.
