Aṣtottara śata nāma stotra(Tārāśata)

This is an incomplete text of the Aṣtottara śata nāma stotra (Tārāśata). This stotra is dedicated to the Buddhist deity Tārā, who is widely worshipped in the Vajrayāna branch of Buddhism. She is the goddess of kindness and compassion for all beings. She represents virtuous and wise actions, grants long life, protects people during travel, and guides her followers on their spiritual path toward enlightenment. The stotra begins with verse 12 and ends with verse 19.




Aprimitā Sūtra

Apramitāyus Sūtra is associated with Mahāyāna Buddhism, which is one of the branch of Buddhism. This sutra is about the Buddha of Immeasurable Life and Wisdom. The Buddha was staying at the Jetavana Monastery and spoke to Mañjuśrī about a special buddha world high above our own. In that world lives the Buddha Aparimitāyurjñāna. The Buddha explained that people who recite, write down, listen to, or honor the praise and mantra (sacred words) of this Buddha will receive many blessings. These include a long life and being reborn in a better place after death. The text also repeats the sacred mantra, or dhāraṇī, of this Buddha many times because countless buddhas are said to chant it. The text appears to be incomplete.




Āryya Nāmasaṅgatīti Gāthā

This work is on the Newar tradition of the Āryya Nāmasaṅgīti Gāthā. It is regarded as the essence of all Buddhist philosophy. The text explains ultimate reality and wisdom. The text contains 13 gāthās.. First Gāthā is on (f.1b–4a), second Gāthā Adhyeṣaṇa gāthā ṣodaśa (f.4a–6a), Prati vacana gāathā ṣat (f. 6a–6b),Ṣatkulāvalokana gāthā dve (f.6b–7a) , Vajradhātu maṅgalagāthā caturdaśa (f.7a–9a), Subiśuddha dharmadātu jñānagāthā Pañcavinśati (f.9a–12a), Ādarśa Jñānagāthā pādona sārdha daśa(f.12b–13b), Pratyabekṣaṇajñānagāthā Dvacatvārinśata(f.13b-18b), Samatājñānagāthā caturvinśati (f.18b–21b), Kṛtyānuṣṭhāna jñanagāthā Pañcadaśa (f.21b–23b), Pañcatathāgatajñāna stuti gāthā pañca (f.23b–24a), Upasamhāragāthā pañca (f.24a–25a), manuscript end on folio 26a. This manuscript is written on Āṣāḍh(June or July) Kṛṣṇa (dark fortnight) Budhavara (wednesday).




Śrimadāryavalokiśvara Vividha Stotra

Āryavalokiśvara Mahāyāna Bodhisattva and his cult has played an important role in the growth of Mahāyāna Buddhism and art. The Mahayanists worship Avlokiteśvara as a merciful and with fulfilling god. He is the god of Universal Compassion.The text contains verious stotras of Avlokiteśvara Folio (1a–2a) Pālijñānsūva stotra by Viśṇusingh. Puṇḍalīkāsuva stotra (f.2a–3b), Svarāṣṭava Stotra (f.3b–4b), Ślokāṣṭakam (f.4b–6a), Dvādaśa falanusaṁsāra stotra (f.6a–7a), Sūprabhāsuva Stotra, (f.7a–12a) This is an incomplete manuscript. It seems that consist 2 different stotras. Ratnamārā (Ratnamālā) by Ratnapāda (12a–16a), Narakodhana Stotra (f.16a– 17b), (f.17b–18a) Avlokiteśvara Stotra which seems is an incomplete.




Prajñāpāramitāsūtra

The text is titled Mantrasaṃgraha. It is an incomplete manuscript written in the Rañjanā script and the Newari language. It contains various mantras and lacks pagination.




Pañcarakṣāsūtra

Pañcarakṣā is a very important and popular tantric text and Dharani Sutra in Buddhism. The word “Pañcarakṣā” Literally meaning "five protections," it contains a collection of five goddesses and their specific mantras which protect against calamities, diseases and evil forces. The text is very popular in the Mahayana and Vajrayana traditions of Nepal, Tibet and China. The collection of five dhāriṇīs: Mahāpratisarā (f. 53b), Mahāsāhasrapramardanī (f. 112a), Mahāmāyūrī (f. 197b), Mahāmantrānusāriṇī (f. 206b) and Mahāśītavatī (f. 112b). It features five illustrations of these Dhāriṇīs and the text is complete. Writing of some folios is illegible.




Composite manuscript (Piṇḍakriyā, Śaryyādānavidhi / Śaryyādānaviyavidhi, Daśapiṇḍakriyā)

This is a composite manuscript containing three texts: Piṇḍakriyā, Śaryyādānavidhi (also written as Śaryyādānaviyavidhi) and Daśapiṇḍakriyā. The manuscript has no pagination. Both Piṇḍakriyā and Daśapiṇḍakriyā are ritual texts related to life-cycle rites (saṃskāras). A piṇḍa is a crucial element in Hindu rituals. It is widely believed that after a person's death, performing Piṇḍadāna is a mandatory rite to ensure rebirth. Śaryyādānavidhi is another text, which focuses on the act of donation. The title Śaryyādānavidhi appears at the beginning of the text, while Śaryyādānaviyavidhi is found in the colophon. These two titles likely refer to the same work.

This is an unknown text that describes a method of worship (Pūjāvidhi). Although the text is complete, its title is missing. The work focuses on the worship of deities such as Lakṣmī Devī, Satidevī, and Yogāmbaredevī. There is no pagination, but a dhyāna mantra is included. The manuscript is in poor condition; portions of it are worm-eaten and several letters are illegible.




Jātakarma, Upanyanavidhi

This codex describes the rituals of daily life. These rituals are called Saṃskāras. Jātakarma is the first ritual, performed when the child enters the family. Upanayana is another ritual, marking the start of the child's education. In Indian tradition, this ritual is considered the rebirth of a child. There is no pagination throughout the manuscript. The most interesting part is the inclusion of several seed syllables (Bījamantras). The last folio features various diagrams and charts.

This is an unknown text that describes Tantra. While the handwriting is poor, a notable feature is the use of two different ink colors throughout the manuscript. The text contains various charts and diagrams but lacks pagination. Because it is a Tantric work, it includes many seed syllables (Bījamantras). Despite these factors, the physical condition of the text remains good.




Lokeśvarastotra

eap_67607006 Language : Sanskrit Scripts : Nepālākṣara


The Lokeśvarastotra is a text written in the stotra (hymn) genre. However, it lacks a clear title. Works such as Rāgabhairavī, Rāgamalāla and Śrījñāneśvarī are mentioned within this text. The manuscript lacks pagination and several folios are partially torn, leaving the text in an unreadable condition.
